Orthodontic Treatment Doha

Put simply, malocclusions, or bad bites, are basically teeth that don’t fit well together. Malocclusions, of any kind, are typically caused by extra teeth, lost teeth, impacted teeth or abnormally shaped teeth, thumb sucking, tongue thrusting, ill-fitting dental fillings and crowns. Whatever the cause of crowded teeth, treatment with orthodontics (Invisalign or braces) is the way to realign teeth. Treatment varies depending on the severity of the malocclusion, but a consultation appointment with your local Doha orthodontist will provide you with all the information you need regarding treatment options.

There are many common conditions that we are talking about when we talk about malocclusions. An overjet, is when the upper teeth are pushed severely outward. Spacing and/or crowding issues are when there is either too much or too little room for the teeth. Crowding teeth in children can prevent permanent teeth from coming in properly, and in some cases crowded teeth can prevent permanent teeth from coming in at all; this is called impaction. An open bite is when the upper and lower front teeth do not overlap. In an underbite the lower teeth reach out farther forward than the upper teeth. These are just a few of the common malocclusion conditions. Doha Dental is your go-to Doha orthodontist for the treatment of malocclusions. Whatever your orthodontic condition, our expert professionals will be able to assess and develop a treatment plan that works best for you.

Doha Cosmetic Dentist

Doha Cosmetic Dentist

Our Doha cosmetic dentist will educate you on all aspects of porcelain veneers because we know how important a straight, bright smile is and the confidence it can bring out in you. Porcelain veneers are used to repair teeth that are discolored, chipped, broken, uneven or irregularly shaped. Veneers also work perfectly to close gaps between teeth. Wafer-thin, veneers are custom-made shells of tooth-colored materials designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. Significantly improving your appearance, these shells are bonded to the front of your teeth, changing their color, size, shape, or length. Doha Dental provides excellent patient care and exceptional aesthetic results with veneers. Made from porcelain, the veneers resist stains better than resin veneers and better mimic the natural light reflecting properties of your own teeth.

Porcelain Veneers Dentist Doha

Porcelain Veneers Dentist Doha

Veneers usually require three trips to our Doha cosmetic dentist and many teeth can undergo the veneering process at the same time. In the first step, our dentist wants to know the result that you would like to achieve. During this appointment, your teeth will be examined to make sure porcelain veneers are suitable for you, and our Doha cosmetic dentist will discuss what the procedure will entail, and may take X-rays. To further prepare for your veneers, our dentist will trim off about ½ millimeter of enamel from the tooth surface, and take a model of your tooth, or teeth. This model is sent to the lab where your veneers will be crafted and the process usually takes 1-2 weeks. Before the veneer is permanently cemented to your tooth, our dentist will place it on your tooth to check its fit and color then trim it for a proper final fit.

The color of the veneer can be adjusted with the shade of cement that will be used. Next, your tooth will be cleaned, polished, and etched which roughens the tooth, allowing for a stronger bonding process. Special cement is applied to the veneer and it is then placed on your tooth. Once positioned properly, our dentist will apply a specific light beam to the veneer, which activates chemicals in the cement, causing it to quickly harden. The final steps involve removing any excess cement, checking your bite and making any final adjustments in the veneer. Our Doha cosmetic dentist achieves exceptional results with a realistic yet conservative touch.
